Job summary

Aarhus University invites applications for a 2-year Academic position in evolutionary genomics and bioinformatics to support genomic data processing and analyses. The role is to provide computational support to researchers and collaborators in the Department of Biology, Centre for Ecological Genetics.

The successful candidate holds a relevant Master’s degree (PhD preferred) and will develop, maintain, and document bioinformatic workflows, assist with data integration across ecological contexts

Qualifications

• Strong background in evolutionary genetics, genomics and population genetics.
• Extensive experience in bioinformatic analyses, coding and pipelines for large genomic datasets.
• Proven ability to support researchers in completing projects and manuscripts.
• Open to collaborative projects and supervising students.

Responsibilities

• Provide bioinformatic and computational support for processing, analysis, management and interpretation of genomic data.
• Support QC of whole-genome sequencing and resequencing datasets for downstream analyses.
• Assist in development and performance of statistical analyses of genomic and ecological data.
• Develop and maintain bioinformatic pipelines and workflows for large genomic datasets.
• Provide technical support to students, PhD students, postdocs and staff working with genomic data.
