Job summary

LEGO Group is seeking an Equipment Manager Specialist in Billund, Denmark, to lead the development of automated high-precision manufacturing equipment for decoration, coating, and assembly. You will drive concept-to-deployment across a multi-disciplinary engineering team, balancing hands-on engineering with project leadership to deliver pragmatic factory-floor solutions.

  • Lead the design, build, test, and delivery of automated equipment from concept to production.
  • Coordinate with project teams on timelines, resources, costs, and technical solutions.
  • Document mechanical designs and ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
  • Manage design reviews, risk assessments, validation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure smooth handover to Platform Owners and production sites.

As an Equipment Manager Specialist, you will together with a project team and a multi-disciplinary engineering team responsible for designing, building, testing, and delivering equipment. Together, we combine hands‑on engineering with project leadership, turning shared ideas into pragmatic solutions that make a real impact on the factory floor.

Core Responsibilities
  • Overall TechnicalLeadofdevelopingtheautomated equipment from concept development through design, build, testing, factory implementation, and handover to the Platform Owner.
  • Drive technical direction andsupport onproject planning, including timelines, resource plans, cost estimates, and stakeholder alignmenton the technical solution.
  • Design and document mechanical solutions using CAD tools, ensuring compliance with requirements, standards, and best engineering practices.
  • Manage technical risks and solution quality through design reviews, D-FMEA, test planning, validation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure successful operational adoption by supporting process changes, providing technical documentation, and enabling a smooth transition to Platform Owners and production sites.
Do you have what it takes?

We imagine that you have a background in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a similar field. Moreover, you have:

  • Experience developing automatedhigh-precisionmanufacturing equipment through to full implementation.
  • Proficientwith mechanical design using CAD tools, e.g. Siemens NX or similar.
  • The ability to contribute to technical decisions, planning, and structured problem solving.
  • Experience with testing, validation, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with others to achieve shared success.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have:
  • Experience working with Teamcenter or similar technical document management systems.
  • Knowledge of industrialization and digitalization (e.g. Industry 4.0).
  • Experience with agile project execution e.g.Scrum.
  • Experience with structural analysis, e.g. finite element analysis.
  • Knowledge of vision systemsor similar.
Additionaldetails on this position

This role is based in Billund, Denmark, with occasional travel to manufacturing sites as equipment progresses from build through to implementation.

Please note that relocation support is not offered for this role.
