Secomea is seeking an Engineering Team Lead for one of our Cloud teams. You will lead a hands-on engineering org building the customer-facing heart of our cloud platform, focusing on identity, governance, secure access, APIs, and UX.

The role combines software engineering with people leadership, mentoring, hiring, performance reviews, and driving architecture, code quality, and reliability across distributed cloud systems.

We’re hiring an Engineering Team Lead for one of our Cloud teams, reporting directly to the VP of Engineering. This role combines hands‑on technical leadership with people leadership and has significant influence in a growing international company.

What You’ll Do

As Engineering Team Lead, you will lead a team building the customer‑facing heart of our cloud layer that brings together identity, governance, secure access, APIs, and user experience into a seamless experience trusted by industrial organizations worldwide.

The role is hands‑on: designing, coding, reviewing code, solving complex technical problems, contributing to architectural decisions, and supporting production operations while being the direct people leader for your team.

You will collaborate with UX, Product Management, and other engineering teams to deliver intuitive user experience while maintaining enterprise‑grade governance, security, and reliability.

Engineering challenges include distributed cloud systems, APIs, identity, governance, scalability, observability, security, and user experience.

As a people leader, you will coach and support team members through regular feedback, development discussions, hiring, and performance management, driving engineering excellence through sound architecture, high code quality, and continuous improvement.

You may already be leading a team or be a senior engineer who naturally takes ownership, mentors colleagues, and drives technical initiatives. You are motivated by helping people succeed and understand that strong teams are built through trust, communication, and shared accountability.

You have a strong software engineering background and significant experience building distributed software systems using modern technologies such as .NET and Azure. You are curious, adaptable, and comfortable learning new technologies as products and platforms evolve.

Experience We Value

1. Strong background in .NET and modern cloud technologies
2. Experience with C#
3. Ability to master new technologies quickly
4. Experience with modern databases, preferably document databases
5. Experience using AI‑assisted engineering tools in production settings
6. Unit and integration testing expertise: xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest; comfortable with TDD or BDD
7. Ability to work closely with UX and Product Management to translate customer needs into intuitive product experiences

Cloud Skills

• Designing scalable, high‑performance distributed systems, including performance analysis and optimization
• Designing, deploying, and operating distributed applications in public cloud environments (Azure, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Designing secure, scalable APIs

Security and OT Knowledge

• Core security concepts—encryption, authentication, and authorization for web applications and APIs
• Familiarity with OT protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, or MQTT, and the unique security challenges of industrial control systems

Leadership Qualifications

• Proven senior technical contributor with desire to remain hands‑on while leading others
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or acting as a staff engineer, or naturally guiding technical teams
• Commitment to helping others succeed over management titles
