Job summary

Astanor Ventures in Copenhagen, Denmark is seeking an Electronics Engineer to lead embedded electronics development for our biotech robotics initiatives. You will own the full lifecycle from design to testing and support, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams across hardware, firmware, and software.

The role emphasizes autonomy, fast iteration, and high ownership from day one, with an emphasis on balancing time-to-market against technical debt.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or related field.
Proficiency in EDA tools (KiCad or Altium).
Proficiency in embedded systems programming (C, C++, Rust).
Proficiency in high-level programming languages (Python).

Responsibilities

Developing and iterating on electronics and firmware designs for our hardware products.
Designing and documenting new electronic systems, including schematic design and PCB layout.
Building, testing, and maintaining highly reliable systems: optimizing performance, reliability, and scalability for production environments.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues to minimize downtime, and driving continuous improvement by identifying shortcomings and implementing robust fixes.
Work closely with hardware engineering peers to ensure seamless integration between mechanical, electronic, firmware and software components.
