Job description

Lead a team of skilled engineers building the software that powers our mobile robots, in an ambitious and fast-growing tech environment.

Lead our robotics software team at TinyMobileRobots

At TinyMobileRobots, you become a central part of the organization, leading a team of 8 software engineers responsible for developing the software that powers our mobile robots. You take ownership of the team’s technical direction, project planning and day-to-day delivery.

Reporting directly to the CTO, you help shape how the team works and evolves, combining leadership with hands-on planning and technical involvement. You act as leader for the team and a technical sparring partner for engineers when needed.

Your primary areas of responsibility include:

  • leading, mentoring and developing a team of 8 software engineers
  • planning and prioritizing the team’s projects from scoping through to implementation, test and delivery
  • taking technical responsibility for the software that runs on TinyMobileRobots’ mobile robots
  • driving the use of agile methods and Scrum in the team’s day-to-day work, as Product Owner
  • ensuring code quality, sound architecture and robust software engineering practices
  • collaborating closely with the Mechatronics, Front-end, and Back-end teams
  • supporting the professional and technical development in the team
  • contributing to minor hands-on to development when the team needs it

You will work from TinyMobileRobots’ headquarters in Malling south of Aarhus, with flexibility for occasional work-from-home days.

Experienced robotics software profile with a hands-on mindset

You bring solid experience from robotics software development and enjoy a role where leadership, technical execution and continuous improvement go hand in hand.

We imagine that you:

  • have 5+ years of experience with robotics software development, ideally for mobile robots
  • enjoy balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on project management.
  • embrace the use of AI with a “high oversight” mindset
  • You are experienced in C++ and boost, ROS, localization, navigation, path planning, control theory and GIT.
  • hold a university master’s degree in robotics or a closely related field
  • likely have experience with agile methods and Scrum
  • possess solid knowledge of software architecture and modern development practices
  • are comfortable creating structure and improving processes in an organization where things move quickly
  • have experience planning and coordinating projects across teams
  • communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken. Danish is considered an advantage

As a person, you are pragmatic, curious and solution-oriented. You naturally create structure around you and thrive in an environment where priorities can change quickly. At the same time, you enjoy collaborating with others and take ownership of both challenges and improvements.

A key role in an ambitious robotics company

At TinyMobileRobots, you get the opportunity to play a central role in developing the software at the heart of our robots, in a company driven by innovation, automation and growth.

You become part of a fast-moving and highly specialized environment with:

  • significant influence on the software that drives our robotic products
  • the opportunity to work with AI, automation and modern technologies in practice
  • close collaboration across engineering, product and business functions
  • an innovative and informal workplace with short decision-making processes
  • flexibility and freedom with responsibility
  • excellent opportunities for both professional and personal development
