Job description

Join us where embedded hardware and software come together to create innovative automation solutions that make a real-world impact. As part of our Automation and Control organization, you will help develop technologies that support reliable and efficient marine operations worldwide.

You will play an important role in:
  • Researching and developing electronic hardware for ship engine control systems
  • Developing embedded software and test applications in C++ and Python
  • Planning, executing and documenting electronic control system testing

This includes all the engineering aspects from idea to final product roll out, and you will gather system test knowledge to run an entire simulation facility with electronic hardware in the loop.

We imagine that you:
  • Have an MSEE or a BSEE
  • Enjoy solving complex challenges across both hardware and software domains
  • Are curious, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning
  • Enjoy collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise
  • Take ownership of your work and contribute to delivering high-quality results

We understand that no candidate will meet every requirement. If you are excited about this opportunity and believe your experience can contribute to the team, we encourage you to apply.

Welcome to the embedded hardware department

We are a well‑established R&D team of 10 engineers specializing primarily in hardware and FPGA design, complemented by expertise in software development. We also collaborate with 3 full‑time consultants and 3 DTU students. Together, our team brings expertise across nearly the entire spectrum of electronic engineering disciplines.

We design complete electronic hardware controllers from the ground up, including analog circuit design, signal sampling and filtering, power supplies, power integrity, digital electronics, high‑speed design, signal integrity, schematics and PCB layout, EMC, and HALT testing. Our expertise includes FPGA development, VHDL design, testbenches, linting, soft and hard processors, digital bus and memory interfaces, timing analysis, scripting, build and integration processes, automated regression testing on hardware targets, and automated simulation environments. In addition, we develop verification and test software and join the development of real‑time engine control embedded software with the software team.

We work closely with colleagues across electronic production, production testing, control software, embedded software, cybersecurity, service and installation engineering.

You will join a comprehensive Automation and Control organization of more than 100 specialists, representing a broad range of electronic engineering disciplines. This provides opportunities to apply, develop, and expand your expertise while collaborating with experienced professionals across the organization.

What can you expect from us
  • An inclusive, collaborative, and supportive working environment
  • Opportunities for continuous learning, technical development, and professional growth
  • Collaboration with highly skilled colleagues across multiple engineering disciplines
  • A culture that values knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • The opportunity to make a visible impact on products used in marine applications worldwide
