2Refurb in Silkeborg, Denmark refurbishes electrical and electro-mechanical wind turbine components, keeping good parts in operation rather than scrap. We are a young company with wind industry experience and we are growing, adding another electrical engineer to the team in Silkeborg.

Qualifications

• An electrical/electronics engineer or technician with hands-on experience.
• Experience with motors, drives, PLCs or power electronics is a strong plus.
• Fluent in English; Danish language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose incoming components – insulation, windings, drive parameters, function – and decide refurbish, repair or beyond economic recovery
• Write the technical assessments behind quotations, planning and customer communication
• Carry out and guide refurbishment – rewinding, re-insulation, component replacement, and configuration of drives, PLCs and control systems
• Develop test and repair methods and test benches; run no-load, load and functional tests
• Qualify alternative components when the original is obsolete
• Discuss failure causes with customers and turn new enquiries into well-founded solutions
• Build our documentation – work instructions, specifications and BOMs in our ERP – and contribute to root cause analysis
• Own or take part in projects developing new products and solutions

Do you want to give critical wind turbine components a second life – and be the engineer who decides how?

At 2Refurb, we do not sell parts off a shelf. We sell the engineering judgement behind them. We refurbish, repair and supply electrical and electro-mechanical components for wind turbines, with one mission: keep good components in operation instead of in the scrap container. We are a young company with many years of wind industry experience behind us, in Silkeborg, Denmark and Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Business is growing, and more and more of our work calls for solid electronics know-how. We are therefore adding another engineer to our technical team in Silkeborg.

What you will do

You will own the electrical side of a component’s journey, from first inspection to final sign-off – working closely with Business Development, our Mechanical Engineers and our CTO.

Who you are

• An electrical/electronics engineer, electrical technician or similar
• Hands-on troubleshooting or development experience – both low voltage and power
• Experience with motors, drives, PLCs or power electronics is a strong plus
• You enjoy solving problems – at the bench or with customers and colleagues
• You take ownership of quality and do not leave it to final inspection to catch mistakes
• Fluent in English; Danish is an advantage
