Job summary

IFF in Brabrand, Denmark, seeks an EHS & Quality Assurance Manager to lead integrated quality, food/feed safety and environmental health and safety programs. The role combines QA (~60%) and EHS (~40%), reporting to the Site Leader, and supports laboratories, pilot facilities, application teams and sample production.

You will drive HACCP, audits, CAPAs, risk assessments, corrective actions and training; coordinate internal and external audits; ensure compliance with Danish legislation and IFF

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Food Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, Quality Management or related field.
• Significant experience in QA, EHS, Food Safety, Regulatory Compliance in a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, continuous improvement and audit processes.
• Experience with audits, regulatory inspections, CAPAs, investigations and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Brabrand EHS and Quality Management Systems ensuring compliance with IFF requirements and applicable regulations.
• Serve as primary site contact for quality, food safety, regulatory and EHS matters; coordinate audits with authorities and certification bodies.
• Manage the Health & Safety Organization, risk assessments, safety initiatives and employee engagement.
• Maintain documentation, training programs and governance through SharePoint and related systems.

Job Summary

This position serves as the site professional responsible for both Quality Assurance (approximately 60%) and Environmental, Health & Safety (approximately 40%) across Health & Biosciences activities in Brabrand. Reporting to the Site Leader, you will lead the site's integrated quality, food/feed safety and EHS programs while supporting laboratories, pilot facilities, application teams, and sample production. This is a specialist role focused on ensuring compliance, enabling innovation and fostering a strong quality and safety culture.

Where You'll Make a Difference

• Lead and continuously improve the Brabrand EHS and Quality Management Systems, ensuring compliance with IFF requirements, Danish legislation and applicable food/feed regulations.
• Serve as the primary site contact for quality, food safety, regulatory and EHS matters, including interactions with authorities, auditors and certification bodies.
• Lead the Health & Safety Organization (AMO/AMU), workplace risk assessments (APV), safety initiatives and employee engagement activities.
• Maintain HACCP programs, food/feed safety processes, hygiene programs and monitoring activities to ensure inspection and audit readiness.
• Facilitate risk assessments, incident investigations, deviation management, root-cause analysis and CAPA implementation to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide hands‑on support to laboratory, pilot plant and application teams regarding chemical safety, waste management, calibration programs and compliant operational practices.
• Manage controlled documentation, procedures, training programs and document governance through SharePoint and related systems.
• Coordinate internal audits and support customer, regulatory and corporate audits while driving sustainable compliance improvements.

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Food Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
• Significant and practical experience in Quality Assurance, EHS, Food Safety, Regulatory Compliance or a combination of these disciplines within a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, food/feed safety management, HACCP principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Practical experience managing audits, regulatory inspections, deviations, CAPAs, investigations and risk assessments.
• Experience supporting laboratory, R&D, biotechnology, food ingredients, manufacturing or similar technical environments.
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical procedures, training and operational controls.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
