Job summary

Teton.ai is seeking an Engineer to own the systems, tooling and infrastructure that enable shipping software to thousands of edge devices in hospital environments. You will build fleet provisioning, OTA release processes, observability, and device bring-up, collaborating with hardware and firmware teams to diagnose issues spanning kernel to application layers.

Qualifications

• Solid experience running Linux systems in production, ideally embedded or edge Linux.
• Proficiency in Rust and/or JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python.
• Experience with device fleets at scale and OTA update mechanisms.
• Familiarity with Linux internals: systemd, kernel modules, device tree, networking.
• Experience with observability tooling and designing what to measure.
• Comfortable with hardware debugging and working with hardware teams.
• Understanding of protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, MQTT.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work style.

Responsibilities

• Own fleet management systems to provision, monitor, and manage devices in the field.
• Own OTA and release engineering: staged rollouts, health checks, and rollback.
• Design telemetry, logging, and alerting for remote device health.
• Handle device bring-up and debugging with hardware/firmware teams.
• Build CI/CD, image builds, and internal tooling for rapid, safe deployments.
• Maintain clear documentation for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
