Job description

Are you interested in a buying role that goes beyond seasonal orders and traditional buying?

At PIECES, we build for a young, fast-moving customer, and what she buys today helps shape what we do next. As our E-commerce Buyer, you will use real-time demand and performance to decide what we buy, scale, replenish and exit across PIECES.com and our e-commerce partners.

You will help make sure we have the right stock in the right place at the right time and turn customer demand into commercial action.

You will join our e-commerce team, working across PIECES.com and some of Europe’s largest e-commerce partners. Reporting to the E-commerce Manager, you will work closely with our Buying Responsible as well as colleagues across buying, design, NOOS and central functions.

PIECES is building a more distinctive brand with clearer product identities and a stronger focus on fewer, bigger winners. At the same time, e-commerce is growing fast, with an ambition to increase our direct-to-consumer (DTC) share to 50%.

This makes e-commerce an increasingly important part of how we understand our customers, develop our assortment and grow the business. You will be part of that development by helping us identify what works, scale successful products and respond quickly to changing customer demand.

JOIN THE NEXT CHAPTER OF PIECES E-COMMERCE

As our E-commerce Buyer, you will take commercial responsibility for selected categories throughout the full lifecycle, from planning and buying to trading, replenishment and exit.

More specifically, you will:

  • Own selected categories across PIECES.com and key e-commerce partners
  • Build and adjust the assortment based on customer demand, performance, trends and commercial targets
  • Allocate and trade stock across channels to capture opportunities and manage risks
  • Scale successful products through replenishment, repeat orders, new colourways and range extensions
  • Drive category performance and stock health, balancing sales, availability and profitability
Your Benefits

This role gives you the opportunity to work across both buying and e-commerce trading, with responsibility that continues well beyond the initial order.

You will:

  • See the direct results of your commercial decisions
  • Work with live customer and performance data to decide what to scale, adjust and exit
  • Gain broad exposure across PIECES.com, e-commerce partners and several commercial functions
  • Influence the assortment and commercial direction within your categories
YOUR PROFILE

You combine a strong commercial instinct with an analytical approach and an interest in fashion and customer behaviour. You are comfortable using data to make decisions about products, stock and commercial opportunities.

We imagine that you:

  • Have around 3-5 years of experience in buying, merchandising, e-commerce trading or a similar commercial role, ideally with exposure to e-commerce
  • Understand stock, demand and sell-through and how they influence commercial decisions
  • Understand fashion, trends and the preferences of a young, trend-driven customer
  • Are confident working with commercial data and turning insights into action
  • Naturally identify opportunities to grow sales and improve profitability
  • Are structured and comfortable managing several categories and channels at the same time
WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU
