Job summary

Bang & Olufsen is seeking a hands-on audio engineer to design, develop, and optimize real-time DSP algorithms for embedded systems powering next-generation consumer products.

You will collaborate with acousticians, hardware and software teams to bring high-quality audio experiences to life, translating concepts into production-ready code while staying aligned with industry trends and internal toolchains.

Qualifications

• A strong passion and curiosity for audio, acoustics, and digital sound.
• Experience in digital signal processing, demonstrated through professional work, academic background, or relevant projects.
• Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ for real-time audio applications, with complexity and autonomy depending on experience level.
• Solid understanding of real-time embedded systems, including fixed-point and floating-point arithmetic.
• Experience translating prototype algorithms (e.g. MATLAB or similar tools) into efficient, production-ready code.
• Understanding embedded audio systems performance, memory, and hardware constraints, complemented by a foundational grasp of multi-core and multi-threaded processing architectures.
• Familiarity with modern software development practices, tools, and workflows (e.g. version control, issue tracking, Agile methodologies).
• Experience with, or willingness to grow in, areas such as testing, debugging, system integration, creating technical documentation and performance optimization.
