SoundBoks ApS in Copenhagen, Denmark, is seeking an Acoustic Engineer to lead the acoustic development of our product line, ensuring durability, sound quality, and performance in challenging environments.
You will design drivers and enclosures, run simulations, validate with measurements, and collaborate with Mechanical and Audio teams to take concepts from concept to mass production.

Start Date: October 2026 or ASAP
Responsible for acoustic development of product line, ensuring durability, sound quality, and performance in aggressive environments.
Select and design acoustic components based on product and market requirements.
Define initial enclosure concepts.
Build and evaluate proof‑of‑concept prototypes to validate acoustic concepts.
Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering during early development to mature acoustic concepts.
Perform acoustic simulations focusing on sound pressure level (SPL), sound quality, and system efficiency.
Validate simulation results through physical testing.
Collaborate with suppliers to refine acoustic components based on simulation and test results.
Own technical specification of loudspeaker drivers toward suppliers.
Define driver specifications and tolerances.
Support manufacturing verification with suppliers.
Participate in acoustic verification of the final product toward mass production.
Collaborate with the Audio team on audio signal handling, including crossovers, compressors, and limiters.
Proven experience designing and simulating loudspeakers, including transducer design and specification, enclosure design, and acoustic measurements.
BSc or higher in Audio, Acoustics, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience with loudspeaker simulation and measurements, using both to validate and refine designs.
Experience with loudspeaker development from concept through verification, and ideally with external manufacturing partners.
Familiarity with crossover design, FEM simulations, or failure analysis is an advantage.
Experience building physical speaker mock‑ups or collaborating with large‑scale loudspeaker manufacturing partners is ideal.
Ability to work independently, take ownership, and collaborate closely with engineers across disciplines.
