Job summary

Robotto is hiring a Hardware Engineer for drones and autonomous systems in Aalborg, Denmark. This hands-on role covers electronics schematics, prototype assembly and testing, with close collaboration across software, control and flight-test teams.

You will work on hardware design, validation and integration for Robotto’s drone platform, contributing to reliable, real-world hardware. Strong C/C++ familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics, hardware engineering, embedded systems, robotics, drones or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with electronic schematics and PCB design.
• Experience assembling, testing and troubleshooting electronic systems or prototypes.
• Knowledge of drones or robotics components such as IMUs, cameras, motors, sensors.
• Understanding of firmware programming in C and/or C++ is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic schematics for drone and product hardware.
• Work with PCB layout partners on manufacturing and components.
• Assemble, integrate and test electronic prototypes and subsystems.
• Plan and carry out practical electronic testing, validation and troubleshooting.
• Support component selection and integration (IMUs, cameras, motors, controllers).
• Collaborate with software/firmware teams on hardware‑software integration.
• Document test results, decisions and improvements clearly.
• Support flight-test and product development activities as needed.
