Job summary

Ambu A/S in Ballerup is seeking a Distribution Specialist to coordinate daily warehousing and shipping activities within a 3PL setup. You will work with 3PL partners, carriers and internal stakeholders to ensure reliable distribution and continuous improvement.

The role offers exposure to warehousing, transportation, ERP processes, and global supply chain operations, with opportunities to shape processes, test new workflows and document changes.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in distribution, warehousing, shipping or transportation operations, preferably within a 3PL setup.
• Experience in ERP systems and knowledge of operational system flows.
• Experience from global manufacturing, healthcare or regulated environment is a plus.
• Ability to manage daily and occasional operational tasks with a structured, systematic and detail-oriented approach.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive follow-up for continuous improvement.
• Good stakeholder management and communication across external partners and global teams.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Continuously optimize Distribution processes and workflows, ensuring efficient, scalable and compliant operations across warehousing and transportation.
• Lead root-cause investigations of operational issues, recurring deviations and service challenges, implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate and support cross-functional projects related to distribution, logistics, systems and process optimization, ensuring timely execution and stakeholder alignment.
• Drive implementation of new processes, workflows, system enhancements and operational requirements, including user testing, documentation, training and adoption support.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, 3PL providers and carriers to identify opportunities that improve service, quality, cost and customer experience.
• Monitor key operational metrics and improvement initiatives, providing insights and recommendations that support continuous performance improvement.

Ambu A/S is currently looking for a Distribution Specialist to be based in our HQ in Ballerup. Are you motivated by keeping daily distribution operations running reliably while continuously improving the way we work? Do you want to make a difference to patients across Europe by securing efficient warehousing and shipping execution in a 3PL setup? You will be part of the Global Distribution team in Global Supply Chain. In this role, you will coordinate daily warehousing and shipping activities, resolve operational issues and support continuous improvement across our European distribution setup. You will work closely with our 3PL partners, carriers, internal Supply Chain stakeholders and IT teams. This position offers an opportunity to build broad expertise across warehousing, transportation, ERP processes and 3PL operations, while contributing directly to reliable customer delivery and Ambu’s growth journey.

Key Responsibilities
