Job summary

Ambu A/S is seeking a Distribution Specialist to join the Global Supply Chain based in our HQ in Ballerup, Denmark. The role focuses on coordinating daily warehousing and shipping activities within a 3PL setup to ensure reliable customer delivery across Europe.

You will work with 3PL partners, carriers and internal stakeholders, drive process improvements, and contribute to Ambu's growth journey while expanding your expertise in warehousing, transportation and ERP processes.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in distribution, warehousing, shipping or transportation operations.
• Experience with ERP systems and understanding of operational system flows.
• Experience from a global manufacturing, healthcare or regulated environment is a plus.
• Ability to manage daily and exceptional tasks with a structured, systematic and detail-oriented approach.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational follow-up and continuous improvement.
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across external partners and global teams.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.

Ambu A/S is currently looking for a Distribution Specialist to be based in our HQ in Ballerup.

Are you motivated by keeping daily distribution operations running reliably while continuously improving the way we work? Do you want to make a difference to patients across Europe by securing efficient warehousing and shipping execution in a 3PL setup?

You will be part of the Global Distribution team in Global Supply Chain. In this role, you will coordinate daily warehousing and shipping activities, resolve operational issues and support continuous improvement across our European distribution setup. You will work closely with our 3PL partners, carriers, internal Supply Chain stakeholders and IT teams.

This position offers an opportunity to build broad expertise across warehousing, transportation, ERP processes and 3PL operations, while contributing directly to reliable customer delivery and Ambu’s growth journey.

Key responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Continuously optimize Distribution processes and workflows, ensuring efficient, scalable and compliant operations across warehousing and transportation.
• Lead root-cause investigations of operational issues, recurring deviations and service challenges, implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate and support cross-functional projects related to distribution, logistics, systems and process optimization, ensuring timely execution and stakeholder alignment.
• Drive implementation of new processes, workflows, system enhancements and operational requirements, including user testing, documentation, training and adoption support.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, 3PL providers and carriers to identify opportunities that improve service, quality, cost and customer experience.
• Monitor key operational metrics and improvement initiatives, providing insights and recommendations that support continuous performance improvement.

• Solid experience in distribution, warehousing, shipping or transportation operations, preferably within a 3PL setup
• Experience in use of ERP systems and knowledge of operational system flows
• Experience from a global manufacturing, healthcare or regulated environment is a plus
• Ability to manage daily and occasionally operational tasks and exceptions with a structured, systematic and detail-oriented approach
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational follow-up and continuous improvement
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across external partners and global teams
