Job summary

Novo is seeking a Director, R&D IT Architecture to set the direction for how technology supports Research & Development, including AI priorities and future technology direction. You will lead architecture specialists and shape a shared architectural vision across applications, platforms and data.

You will build roadmaps, govern architecture processes, and ensure scalable design while turning strategy into concrete priorities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in IT/CS/engineering/architecture.
• Biological Sciences degree with 10+ years IT experience welcome.
• Proven track record leading a specialised function with business impact.
• Deep IT architecture strategy, governance, roadmaps and data design.

Responsibilities

• Set R&D IT architecture direction and unified technical vision.
• Build roadmaps and align governance, architecture processes, data and applications.
• Lead 10 architects and oversee up to five consultants.
• Shape AI and innovation initiatives within existing and new tech.
• Translate trade-offs into business value and decisions.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
