Job summary

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Director to lead the Group Accounting & Reporting team from Hellerup, Denmark. You will direct IFRS external reporting, policy development, and cross-functional collaboration with global finance and partners.

The role requires a strong leadership track record, 10+ years in audit or accounting, cand.merc.aud., and excellent English. Travel up to 20 days per year may be expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in audit and/or accounting.
• Bachelor-level or professional degree with cand.merc.aud.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and external reporting for listed companies.
• Experience with US GAAP and SEC reporting is advantageous.
• Ability to lead a global team and partner with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group Accounting & Reporting team and drive external IFRS reporting.
• Ensure timely, compliant external reporting under IFRS and SEC rules.
• Develop and maintain IFRS accounting policies and US GAAP differences.
• Oversee complex accounting matters including leases and contracts.
• Drive accounting procedures across the group and partnering with Global Finance.
• Promote AI and automation to improve efficiency, quality, and controls.
