Job summary

AKQA is seeking a Director, Generative AI Experience Engineering to define and deliver the next generation of AI-native customer experiences for leading brands. Based in a hybrid environment, you will lead architecture, engineering, and client advisory while staying close to code and prototyping new ideas.

You will mentor a small team, shape AI-native architectures, and help clients navigate transformation with confidence.

Qualifications

• Must come from a strong engineering or development background with deep frontend architecture capability.
• Experience leading AI-native platforms and advising senior clients on technical roadmaps.
• Hands-on leadership with a track record of mentoring engineering teams and delivering production-ready systems.
• Comfortable communicating complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of AI-native experience platforms across frontend rendering and orchestration.
• Mentor a small engineering team while prototyping and accelerating production-ready AI-enabled products.
• Partner with senior client stakeholders to shape AI transformation and engineering roadmaps.
• Drive rapid POC efforts, innovation initiatives and engineering best practices.
