LEGO Group in Billund invites a Data Science Student Worker to help evolve SKU performance scoring, run experiments, and contribute to production data pipelines. You'll prepare data, test models, and implement improvements alongside experienced data scientists.
The role is hybrid with campus days in Billund and flexible hours 15–20 per week. Ideal candidates are studying in Denmark in data-related programs and graduating 2028 or later, with strong Python, SQL and English.
Job Description Just imagine helping decide which LEGO® sets appear on shelves for different customers around the world. Then make it real.
As our Data Science Student Worker, you'll support the team behind the next version of our stock keeping unit (SKU) performance scoring system, run experiments to improve novelty predictions, and help evolve assortment optimization tools. You'll work alongside experienced data scientists on real production pipelines, contributing to data preparation, experimentation, analysis, and production code. It's a hands‑on role designed to help you learn while making a meaningful contribution from week one.
If you've worked in a role where you used real data to answer business questions, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is your ability to learn, contribute to shared code, and translate analysis into meaningful improvements.
You'll join the Assortment & Space Management team within Digital Technology. We help deliver customer- and channel‑specific assortment recommendations while creating greater portfolio transparency across the business. Our team works in a hybrid rhythm with daily stand‑ups and weekly team sessions, including anchor days on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You'll work closely with data scientists and software engineers while bringing curiosity, reliability, and a strong team spirit to everything you do.
Success means confidently contributing to production systems, running experiments that improve model performance, and becoming a trusted member of the team. Over the next 12 to 18 months, we're focused on rolling out a new version of our core product performance scoring and prediction system. You'll work closely with data scientists and software engineers to help shape that journey while building skills that can grow with you at the LEGO Group.
The expected start date for successful candidates is either 1st December 2026 or 1st January 2027.
