e-conomic, the Danish accounting platform used by 300,000+ small businesses, is hiring a Data Lead to own the data foundation behind AI-driven insights, trustworthy results and the ability to answer every product question with data. You will influence how data is defined, stored and consumed across the organization and partner with product leadership to shape the future of our analytics-driven products.

Qualifications

• A deep analytics-engineering foundation: SQL, data modelling, warehousing, ELT, semantic/metrics layers; comfortable in dbt-style tooling.
• A track record of holding a mandate across teams: Standards, governance or data strategy that other teams actually adopted, not only delivered inside your own.
• Credibility with senior stakeholders: You hold business priorities first, can say no to a director with a better reason than capacity, and communicate clearly at executive level.
• Direction and hands-on, in the same week: Setting direction in the morning, reviewing a transformation model in the afternoon and accountable for it actually happening.
• AI-native practice: You use AI tools in your own work and have a view on where self-service and agents replace the human bridge in a data team, and where they don't yet.
• Language: Fluent professional English.

Responsibilities

• The direction for product data: What we measure, what correct and live mean, and which data from new products reaches the warehouse.
• Prioritisation by business impact: Weigh every data request for value and cost before capacity decisions, with a clear line to say no or re-scope.
• Shared standards for all analysts: Define definitions, frameworks and tooling decisions via the data board and community of practice.
• One trusted truth about our product and customers: Lead cross-department work to define metrics and ensure numbers are trusted in management reporting.
• A self-service, AI-enabled way of working: Enable product teams to answer their own data questions through robust tooling.
• Depth when it matters: Assess asks, escalate modelling and data quality questions, and work with analysts on indicator construction.
