Job summary

Aalborg University seeks a Data Scientist to help establish Digital Heart, a cardiovascular data and AI research infrastructure. You will collect and organise clinical data from hospitals, build data workflows, and support researchers in using the TRE platform, collaborating with clinicians, IT teams and data managers.

The position is a full-time technical and administrative staff position (TAP) planned for 3.5 years at Aalborg University.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in data science, computer science, biomedical engineering, health informatics or related field.
Experience building reliable data pipelines and integrating complex datasets.
Strong data quality, documentation, and handling of sensitive data.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with clinical and technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

Coordinate clinical data extraction and secure transfer from hospitals.
Develop workflows for importing, processing and linking imaging, biosignal and patient data.
Establish structured research datasets, databases and metadata documentation.
Implement data quality checks and pseudonymisation procedures.
Deploy AI tools and support researchers in using the platform.
