Job summary

Milestone Hafnia seeks a Data Partnerships Manager to lead global partnerships, negotiating licensing for video data used in AI training. You’ll identify new partners, structure deals, and navigate privacy and compliance requirements.

You’ll travel to meet providers, build trust with public and private sector stakeholders, and collaborate with legal to close agreements that scale Hafnia’s data library responsibly.

The role is about creating entirely new data-sharing partnerships with organizations that have never considered making their video data available for AI Models. This is about building trust, navigation of legal and contract processes, and the ability to structure novel License to Data agreements. It’s not about buying data. It’s about building a fair exchange in value for that data.

The role is about creating entirely new data-sharing partnerships with organizations that have never considered making their video data available for AI Models. This is about building trust, navigation of legal and contract processes, and the ability to structure novel License to Data agreements. It’s not about buying data. It’s about building a fair exchange in value for that data. This is a newly created position, you won't be stepping into an existing playbook, you'll be writing it.. You'll have real influence over how Hafnia builds data partnerships from the ground up, and the chance to define what this role becomes as the team and library scale.

What you bring

Must-have

• Strong track record in business development, strategic partnerships, or data/commercial sourcing, ideally including complex licensing or data-sharing agreements
• Strong commercial negotiation skills and experience engaging executive and legal stakeholders
• Experience working in the public sector and/ or big private organisations
• Comfort creating deals where there's no existing budget or buying process. You build the case and the relationship from scratch
• Working understanding of AI/ML training data, especially computer vision or multimodal data
• Familiarity with GDPR and data governance frameworks like the EU AI Act
• Excellent stakeholder management, from technical teams to senior leadership
• Knowledge of Data transfer processes and Data Security

Nice-to-have

• Experience with video data, camera infrastructure, or VMS ecosystems
• Background in AI, Computer Vision, or data platform companies
• Knowledge of emerging AI compliance frameworks (EU AI Act, ISO standards)
• Experience sourcing data or partnerships across multiple regions (EMEA, North America, APAC)

The role

You’ll lead the strategy and execution behind Hafnia’s global data partnership efforts: identifying, negotiating, and closing Data partnerships with organizations (public and private sector) that hold camera, sensor, or video infrastructure but have never considered making that data available for AI Model training.

In practice, that means:

• Owning the global data acquisition strategy and pipeline, from prospecting through close
• Building relationships with municipalities, enterprises, and infrastructure owners across sectors (smart cities, transportation, retail, logistics, and more)
• Structuring novel commercial and licensing agreements alongside legal and compliance
• Ensuring every partnership meets the highest bar for privacy, consent, and ethical sourcing
• Representing Hafnia in strategic conversations with senior external stakeholders
• Managing secure Data transfer from the Client to Milestone infrastructure
• Travel to visit data providers for both closing contracts and ensuring end-to-end management of the data transfer

We’re less focused on hitting a specific number of deals and more on the quality and trust behind each partnership. This role is measured by the strength of what you build, not just volume.
