Job summary

Continia Software in Aalborg is expanding its Data & Reporting team and seeks a Data Engineer to build and own data pipelines. You will work on Azure Data Factory and Databricks, ingest data from diverse sources, and land it in our Data Lakehouse.

You will write SQL and Spark transformations, monitor production pipelines, and ensure data quality and lineage. Collaboration with reporting and ML teams, and a hybrid office-based role with start in February.

Qualifications

• SQL is your native language and you read, write, and reason about it confidently.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks or similar tools.
• Proficient in Python; you don't need to write it flawlessly.
• Experience with Spark and data processing frameworks.
• Understanding of Power BI and message-based technologies like Service Bus.
• Structured, ownership minded and eager to learn.
• Excellent English; Danish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, orchestrate and maintain data pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Ingest data from a broad range of source systems and land it reliably in our Data Lakehouse.
• Write the SQL and Spark transformations that turn raw data into trusted, documented datasets.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve pipelines already running in production.
• Take ownership of data quality, lineage and documentation for the pipelines you build.
• Work with the platform around the pipelines, including Unity Catalog, Event Hubs and Service Bus.
• Collaborate with the colleagues who build our reporting and ML solutions on top of your data.
