Job summary

NORDEN is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to build pipelines and datasets that move data through our organisation, turning raw information into trusted, usable data.

You will work with PySpark, SQL, Azure DevOps and Microsoft Fabric, collaborating closely with digital and commercial teams to translate data needs into scalable technical solutions. The role is based in Copenhagen with a global team expanding to Singapore.

Qualifications

• Around 5 years of practical experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• A degree within data, IT, engineering or another analytical field.
• Eligibility to work in Denmark.
• Solid experience with Lakehouse architecture, for example in Microsoft Fabric or Azure Databricks.
• Experience designing and building data pipelines and working with how data is structured, transformed and made available to others.
• Experience contributing to technical decisions around data architecture and how data should be structured and used.
• The confidence to be responsible for your solutions, while still enjoying sparring with and learning from others.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines.
• Bring internal and external data together and turn it into trusted datasets.
• Transform raw data into useful features and insights.
• Improve how we capture, validate and enrich data.
• Build solutions that are reliable today without making life difficult for whoever needs to work with them tomorrow.
• Work with digital and commercial colleagues to understand what they need from our data and translate that into technical solutions.
