Job summary

ASafe Global is seeking a proactive Safety Officer to support a data centre construction project in Lille Skensved, Denmark. The role requires at least 2 years of health and safety experience, preferably in construction, with a mechanical construction background.

The position is initially 6–12 months with potential for extension or permanent hire, for both contractors and permanent applicants. The Safety Officer will monitor site activities for compliance, conduct risk assessments, review RAMS,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in health and safety, preferably within construction.
• Experience in data centre construction is highly desirable.
• Mechanical construction experience would be an advantage.
• NEBOSH or an equivalent certification preferred.
• Good understanding of risk assessments, RAMS, site inspections and incident investigation.
• Willingness to complete any Danish-specific training or qualification required for the assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, project requirements and site procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement controls.
• Review RAMS and monitor compliance with safe systems of work.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and inductions to workers and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions.
• Promote safe working practices and correct PPE use.
• Coordinate with site management and subcontractors to address safety concerns.
• Ensure permits, training and safety documentation are in place for high-risk activities.
• Maintain accurate EHS records and support safety culture improvements.
