Job summary

Story House Egmont is seeking a Data Engineer for our European technology department to translate raw data into decision-ready analyses and influence how decisions are made across Europe.

You will join a compact Data & AI team, working with dbt, Dagster, Kubernetes, GCS and BigQuery, delivering reports in Power BI and supporting AI initiatives. The role spans across Nordic, UK, Poland and German collaborations.

Qualifications

• SQL and practical data warehouse work.
• Python programming experience.
• Machine learning exposure or familiarity.
• Experience integrating new data sources and ETL/ELT processes.
• Power BI or similar data visualisation tools.

Responsibilities

• Translate raw data into decision-ready analyses.
• Collaborate with Europe-wide Data & AI teams and business units.
• Contribute to AI-related projects where applicable.
• Incorporate new data sources into Dagster workflows and data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain data models and reports using dbt, BigQuery, and Power BI.
