Job summary

n8n is seeking a seasoned product leader to own the Core Platform strategy and roadmap, partnering with Engineering and Product leadership to shape the future of scalable, secure, and flexible automation infrastructure.

You will drive foundational investments, guide enterprise deployments, and bridge between Core and the wider organization—delivering clear trade-offs and measurable outcomes for customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Product, with 2–3 years on platform, infrastructure, developer-facing, or backend/API products.
• You are credible with senior engineers and comfortable in architecture discussions about non-functional requirements.
• Led cross-team technical initiatives with real delivery risk, including migrations or breaking changes.
• You prioritize under ambiguity and connect foundational/debt work to customer and commercial outcomes.
• You own problems, drive outcomes without direction, and act with autonomy.
• You communicate complex platform topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• You understand self-hosted, air-gapped, and restricted deployments in enterprise contexts.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the Core Platform strategy and roadmap with Engineering and Product leadership.
• Drive scalability and reliability of the execution engine and deployment environments.
• Lead planning and release of major platform versions, including migration strategy and risk management.
• Bridge the Core team with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success and Support to translate needs into Core Platform work.
