Job summary

Hybrid Greentech - Energy Storage Intelligence is seeking an ambitious Communications Lead to cover maternity leave, owning external and internal communications and employer branding for a fast-scaling greentech company.

Reporting to the CFO and working with the CEO and leadership team, you will steer press, branding, content, and internal communications across an international team, ensuring a consistent external voice while supporting recruitment, investor relations, and strategic brand

Job description

We are looking for an ambitious Communications Lead to step in on a maternity cover contract, taking charge of both external and internal communications as well as employer branding for a fast scaling greentech company.

How we communicate our technology and story will help shape how quickly we scale. As our new Communications Lead, your decisions and drive will be essential for keeping our high momentum going, and for upgrade the European energy grid.

The role

As Communications Lead, you will make sure that Hybrid Greentech utilises a clear external voice through our brand and press presence, and that our brand remains recognised and synonymous with the pioneering innovation that can help us attract new talent. The role covers the full communications palette of functions, and you must be comfortable with assuming the responsibility of owning the external and internal communications, and employer branding activities as a one-person function. You will however work in close collaboration with the CEO, CFO and the management team, as well as our external partners and investors. You will report to the CFO and work directly with our CEO and Trading Systems Director on press and public affairs matters.

What you will do

• Lead external communications, including press releases, LinkedIn content and strategy, public affairs materials, white papers, conference materials and website maintenance.
• Maintain the brand and make sure our teams adhere to the key messaging framework.
• Support management as needed on internal communications and keeping information flowing across an international team.
• Oversee employer branding and language used in relation to new recruitment using our existing playbook (templates, interview frameworks, onboarding).
• Act as the day-to-day point of contact for key internal and external stakeholders – including the CEO, commercial leadership, and investors – to keep materials and messaging aligned.

What you bring

Experience and skills (Required)

• 5-7 years of experience in corporate communications, ideally in a fast-growing or scale-up environment.
• Proven experience owning external communications end-to-end, including PR, LinkedIn/social, and brand messaging.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work directly with C-level executives, investors, and external agencies.
• Excitement about working independently across multiple parallel workstreams.
• Website management proficiency and a willingness to familiarise yourself with new technology platforms.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of ESG and sustainability governance frameworks (e.g. EU Taxonomy, CSRD, ESRS), or interest in this area.
• Experience in the renewable energy, greentech, or broader sustainability sector.
• Experience working with the full Adobe suite, Canva and or other graphic design platforms.
• Experience in leading or supporting a brand refresh or other sizeable rebrand projects.
• Danish language skills would be a plus but not required.

Contract

This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract, expected to run from November 2026 to October 2027.
