Job description

Join Copenhagen Energy as Our New Communications & PR Student Analyst

Are you looking for a student job where you can turn ideas into content, take ownership of communication projects, and help shape how a growing energy company presents itself to the world? As our next Communications & PR Student Analyst, you'll become part of a fast-moving company working across renewable energy and power trading.

The Opportunity

Our business spans two closely connected areas: developing renewable energy projects across Europe, and trading power in short-term energy markets across Europe and the US. As we continue to scale, so does the need to communicate what we do, where we are headed, and the people and projects that make it happen.

As our Communications & PR Student Analyst, you will work across the business and get hands‑on experience with communication, branding, and PR. You will create engaging content, manage and develop our digital channels, support employer branding and communication initiatives, and help strengthen company awareness.

From day one, you will be trusted with real responsibility and the freedom to bring your own ideas to the table. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, develop your skills, and gain valuable experience in both communications and the energy industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication and brand strategy: Develop, execute and maintain strategic communication and brand strategy for the entire business, helping strengthen our visibility, reach, and positioning.
  • Content creation: Create and publish engaging content across our social media and digital channels, from company news and project milestones to market insights and employee stories.
  • Communication and PR: Support internal and external communication and PR activities across the business, including company announcements, press materials, and other corporate communications.
  • Employer branding: Help bring our culture and people to life through storytelling, content development, and employer branding initiatives.
  • Digital media: Create and edit digital content, including graphics, videos, presentations, and other visual materials.
  • Website management: Help manage and develop our websites, keeping content current, accurate, and aligned with our brand.
  • Social media and community: Help manage our social media presence, engage with our online communities, and identify opportunities to strengthen our reach and engagement.
  • Performance tracking: Track and analyse social media and digital performance to understand what resonates with our audiences and identify opportunities for improvement.
Who Are You

We are looking for a colleague who is eager to roll up their sleeves and get involved. You do not necessarily need years of experience, but you are creative, curious, and enjoy finding new ways to communicate complex topics engagingly, spotting what resonates with an audience and bringing structure to a busy communications flow.

We value people who take ownership, ask questions, and proactively seek better ways of doing things. Whether it is drafting a post, updating our website, building a campaign, or shaping our communication strategy, you are motivated to turn ideas into action and use your communication skills to help tell our story.

  • Education: You are currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree within Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Creative and curious: You enjoy content, storytelling, and understanding what resonates with an audience.
  • Structured and detail-oriented: You can manage multiple tasks and channels while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Digital tools: You are comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint); experience with LinkedIn, WordPress, Elementor, Adobe, or Canva is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Strong communicator: You express yourself clearly and confidently in written and spoken English and enjoy collaborating across an international team. Proficiency in Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Location: You will be based at our office in Carlsberg Byen, Copenhagen, for a minimum of 15 hours per week.
What We Offer

You will join a team where you will be trusted with responsibility, supported by experienced colleagues, and given the opportunity to grow from day one. We believe the best way to learn is by getting involved, taking ownership, and working on projects that matter.

  • Real responsibility: Shape how we communicate our work from day one, not just observe from the sidelines.
  • Growth environment: Be part of a young, rapidly expanding company with a vibrant scale‑up atmosphere.
  • Hands‑on experience: Apply your academic knowledge in a real business setting and see the direct impact of your work.
  • Meaningful impact: Join a visionary organization driving the energy transition and help tell that story to the world.
  • Strong culture: Participate in both social and professional events, including team sports, company parties, and informal gatherings that strengthen our team spirit.
  • Flexible work arrangements: We value work‑life balance and offer measures to balance school and work hours (including flexibility during exam periods).
  • Future work opportunities: Many careers start with a student position. We invest in talented people and are always looking to create opportunities for continued growth within the company.
