At Hoyer VMS Group, we are looking for a Commissioning Engineer who wants to grow in an international environment and work closely with advanced maritime systems. We are based in Frederikshavn, Denmark, where the daily work is expected to be carried out unless you are assigned to projects abroad.

Your responsibilities:
  • Participate in commissioning and testing of motors, technical systems, and electrical energy-saving solutions both locally and globally.
  • Assist in project preparation and condition assessments of electric motors.
  • Perform troubleshooting and fault-finding on electrical and mechanical installations.
  • Carry out technical preparation and review prior to project execution.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of work processes.
  • Travel as needed to support the service department.

This is a hybrid position combining office-based work with travel activities, which are expected to amount to approximately 100 travel days per year.

We imagine that you:
  • Have a technical background, such as Marine Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or similar.
  • Have an interest in motor control systems, electrical systems, and engine room equipment.
  • Thrive in hands-on work and learning through practical experience.
  • Are curious, solution-oriented, and ready to take responsibility.
  • Are familiar with IT tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Are professionally proficient in English, both written and spoken.
What we offer:
  • A key role in a global company headquartered in Frederikshavn, with service bases in the USA, Brazil, China, and Namibia.
  • A strong team environment where we support one another and maintain an informal working culture.
  • Thorough onboarding and professional sparring with skilled colleagues and managers.
  • Flexibility, attractive employment terms, and salary based on qualifications.
  • A healthy work-life balance. We care deeply about employee well-being and occasionally treat our employees to delicious surprises and fun events through our own “Ministry of Welfare.”
