Jones Engineering seeks a Commercial Manager for a large Data Centre project in Denmark, preferably with an electrical background. The role involves supporting the construction team on all quantity surveying functions, ensuring contract compliance, and forecasting turnover and cash flow.

Based in Copenhagen, you will mentor the on-site commercial team and contribute to robust reporting while managing subcontractors and procurement activities.

Qualificações

• Minimum 8+ years' experience post qualification
• Relevant third level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics

Responsabilidades

• Provide support to construction team on all quantity surveying functions
• Ensure compliance with contract obligations and monitor same
• Identify commercial risks and report to management
• Compile monthly progress applications with accurate remeasurements and variations
• Procurement support in conjunction with Procurement Department
• Manage subcontractor accounts from award to interim valuation and final accounts
• Forecast turnover and project cash flow
• Review and commercially manage projects for reliable reporting
• Identify, analyse and report on business and project trends
• Ensure contractual requirements are adhered to and provide guidance
• On-site mentoring of the wider Commercial Team

Commercial Manager - Copenhagen

Due to continued expansion in our Data Centre division, Jones Engineering require a Commercial Manager preferably with an Electrical background to join the delivery teams for large Data Centre Project in Denmark. This Data Centre Project is in a region where further growth is expected and is an opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Manager to grow their career with support and guidance from our senior staff in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• To provide support to Construction Team on all Quantity Surveying functions including, but not limited to the following:
• Ensure compliance with contract obligations and provide advice and monitoring of same to construction team
• Ability to identify potential commercial risks and ensure prompt reporting of same to management
• Compile monthly progress applications and ensure they are inclusive of accurate remeasure, site variations, day-works or claims
• Procurement - operational procurement activity and contract support, in conjunction with the Procurement Department
• Manage subcontractor accounts from initial award to interim valuation, variations and final account
• Managing and forecasting of turnover and cash flow of the projects
• Reviewing and commercial management of all projects, to ensure accurate and reliable reporting
• Identify, Analyse and report on trends within the Business & Projects
• Review all incoming correspondence from Employers, Design Team and /or subcontractors, to identify contractually critical items and to initiate replies
• To ensure Construction Team is adhering to all Contractual Requirements and providing advice and monitoring of same
• Manage and mentor the wider Commercial Team on site.
• All other duties associated with this role

Key Skills/ Requirements

• Relevant third level qualification essential in Quantity Surveying/ Construction Economics
• Previous Data Centre experience preferable but not essential
• Minimum 8+ years' experience post qualification essential
