Job summary

Jones Engineering in Copenhagen is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead large-scale electrical/data centre projects from mobilisation through to handover.

The successful candidate will manage multidisciplinary teams, develop and execute delivery plans, drive programme performance, and ensure safety, quality and value across the project lifecycle. This position offers a challenging, fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in construction, engineering or project management.
• Strong electrical engineering / electrical construction background.
• Proven experience managing complex projects and large project teams.
• Experience delivering projects through construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction methodologies.
• Excellent programme and planning skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets, costs and change.
• Excellent risk management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of large-scale electrical/data centre projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
• Manage and motivate multidisciplinary project teams and specialist subcontractors.
• Develop and manage project execution strategies, programmes and delivery plans.
• Drive programme performance and ensure key milestones are achieved.
• Identify risks, constraints and potential delays and implement effective mitigation and recovery strategies.
• Manage project budgets, costs, variations, change control and commercial performance.
• Coordinate design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Work closely with electrical engineers, construction managers, planners, commercial teams and commissioning teams.
• Manage interfaces between CSA, electrical, mechanical, BMS, EPMS, fire alarm and other critical systems.
• Provide technical leadership and use your electrical experience to challenge and resolve issues.
• Coordinate electrical testing, commissioning, energisation and operational readiness activities.
• Lead project and client meetings and provide clear reporting on progress, risks and performance.
• Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental performance are maintained.
• Ensure all project documentation, testing records and handover requirements are completed to the required standard.
