Job summary

University of Southern Denmark (SDU) eScience Center seeks a Software Architect for Research Cloud Services to advance their private cloud and HPC ecosystem in Odense. You will design and implement scalable distributed systems, work with Slurm integrations, and collaborate across research and IT teams.

The ideal candidate has strong Linux skills and experience with Go or C/C++ for HPC environments, plus hands-on DevOps capabilities and a track record in cloud infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in at least two of the areas listed.
• Strong Linux background and ability to work in a research setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance distributed systems and services.
• Integrate with HPC schedulers such as Slurm and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Participate in full lifecycle from requirements to testing, deployment and monitoring.
