Job summary

Temp-Team A/S is seeking a Laboratory Maintenance Technician/Engineer to support an advanced physics and semiconductor lab in Kongens Lyngby, near Copenhagen. The role focuses on maintaining and improving complex lab equipment in a state-of-the-art cleanroom environment.

You will collaborate with scientists and engineers to ensure high equipment uptime, participate in installation, calibration, and continuous improvement projects, and support researchers with technical operations.

About the job

We are looking for a Laboratory Maintenance Technician or Engineer to support our client's advanced physics and semiconductor laboratory and cleanroom in Kongens Lyngby, just north of Copenhagen.

The laboratory is among the most advanced in Europe, offering a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art semiconductor and nanofabrication equipment in a dynamic environment alongside scientists, researchers, and engineers who are pushing the boundaries of technology.

As a Cleanroom Maintenance Technician/Engineer, you will play an important role in ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of laboratory and cleanroom equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities on laboratory and semiconductor process equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and performing calibration activities.
• Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment.
• Coordinate and facilitate service activities with external vendors and suppliers.
• Participate in laboratory and facility improvement projects.
• Provide technical support for micro- and nanofabrication equipment.
• Contribute to improving equipment uptime, service quality, and operational efficiency.
• Support researchers and laboratory users with technical issues and equipment operation.
• Help document maintenance activities and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support training and knowledge sharing across the laboratory organization.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience maintaining and servicing advanced technical equipment, ideally gained within the semiconductor, wafer fabrication, photonics, advanced manufacturing, or research equipment industries.

Required Experience

• Hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, commissioning, or supporting advanced technical equipment such as semiconductor process tools, scientific instrumentation, vacuum systems, or laboratory equipment.
• Experience working in cleanroom, laboratory, semiconductor, or other highly controlled technical environments.
• Hands-on experience with vacuum systems, gas-handling systems, pumps, pressure-control systems, leak detection, and related technical equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and control-system faults.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills, with a focus on equipment reliability, uptime, equipment recovery, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Experience

• Experience maintaining, servicing, installing, or commissioning semiconductor fabrication equipment and related process tools.
• Experience working in wafer fabrication, semiconductor manufacturing, cleanroom, research laboratory, or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with thin-film deposition, lithography, etch, metrology, inspection, MBE, photonics, or similar high-tech processes.
• Experience with High Vacuum (HV), Ultra High Vacuum (UHV), cryogenic systems, process gases, MFCs, or MBE equipment.
