Job Description Just imagine helping create safe, empowering LEGO® League experiences for students around the world. Then make it real. This Manager Specialist position is based in Billund. Relocation isn't offered.
As our Child Safeguarding Manager, LEGO® League Experiences, you'll play a central role in building a culture of effective child safeguarding across LEGO® Education's LEGO® League programme on a global scale. You'll work with diverse stakeholder groups across design, partnerships, programmes, digital products, events, and more to ensure participating children can engage in safe, positive, and rewarding experiences. You'll help embed the LEGO Group's Child Safeguarding Policy into the foundations of the LEGO League programme from the very beginning by developing safeguarding processes (recently handled by third‑party provider), governance frameworks, reporting mechanisms, training, and ways of working that support programme delivery globally. This is a unique opportunity to shape a growing safeguarding agenda and become a trusted subject matter expert for colleagues and partners around the world.
If you've worked in a role where you managed safeguarding, compliance, safety, or risk‑related initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is your ability to turn requirements into practical solutions, navigate complexity with confidence, and build credibility with a wide range of partners.
You'll join the Digital Product Safety team, which plays an important role in creating safe and compliant experiences for children wherever they interact with the LEGO Group. Our work spans both child safeguarding and safety across physical and digital experiences, from programmes and events to digital products, online communities, and direct interactions between LEGO Group colleagues and children. The team is primarily based in Billund, with one colleague based in our London Hub. We make a conscious effort to stay connected throughout the week so everyone feels included, regardless of location. For our Billund‑based colleagues, we regularly come together on shared anchor days while balancing time working from home and alongside stakeholders across the business.
You'll work in a collaborative environment where strong Stakeholder Management, Business Communications, and Organizational Management skills are highly valued. The team partners closely with colleagues across product development, community management, legal, compliance, risk, and LEGO Education to embed safeguarding into everyday decision‑making.
Success means the LEGO Group's Child Safeguarding Policy is fully integrated into the foundations of the LEGO League programme and that you've built trusted relationships across key stakeholder groups. By the end of your first year, you'll be viewed as a reliable safeguarding subject matter expert, providing practical guidance and support across the programme. Over the next 12 to 18 months, you'll help strengthen policies, processes, training resources, reporting mechanisms, and assessment frameworks. You'll play a key role in delivering safeguarding training to internal and partner stakeholders, implementing safeguarding reporting and assessment processes, and developing formal ways of working with LEGO Education teams to ensure children continue to have safe and positive experiences wherever they engage with the LEGO Group.
