Job summary

WhiteBIT is seeking a senior strategic leader to own and drive the group strategy, portfolio stewardship and strategic initiatives across our FinTech platform. You will build intelligence, shape investment theses, and prepare decision-grade materials for the Investment Committee and leadership.

You will lead a high-performing team, coordinate cross-business strategic actions, and ensure coherence with the group strategy while prioritizing value creation opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate strategy, strategic finance, investment, corporate development, management consulting, private equity / venture capital, or a comparable analytical leadership role.
• Proven ability to develop or maintain enterprise or group-level strategy and translate complex analysis into clear choices for senior decision-makers.
• Strong portfolio mindset to assess strategic fit, concentration, adjacency, risk, and value across multiple businesses and markets.
• Strong financial and investment analysis skills including business-case review, valuation logic, unit economics, scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
• Proven ability to evaluate new projects, market-entry plans and investment theses independently and to challenge assumptions constructively.
• Excellent research and intelligence capabilities to synthesize signals into decision-relevant implications.
• Experience preparing executive and Board-level materials and concise memos.
• Prior leadership of a high-performing strategy, research or analytical team with quality-control standards.
• Experience in financial services, FinTech, digital assets, payments, banking, brokerage, or financial infrastructure is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• High integrity, intellectual curiosity, discretion and evidence-based challenge to senior stakeholders.
• Advanced degree or relevant professional qualification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the group strategy process including the strategic narrative, priorities, key choices, assumptions and refreshes.
• Maintain a portfolio-wide view of businesses and identify imbalances, gaps, duplication, concentration risk and adjacency opportunities.
• Develop evidence-based recommendations on where the group should focus management attention and future investment.
• Ensure major roadmaps and programs remain coherent with the approved group strategy and portfolio logic.
• Set the strategic research agenda based on high-priority decisions and uncertainties.
• Build and maintain structured intelligence on markets, regulation, technology and macro trends.
• Convert research findings into implications, scenarios and concise recommendations.
• Establish standards for source quality, analytical rigor and fact-checking.
• Identify and prioritize value creation opportunities across the portfolio and structure opportunities into clear theses.
• Work with Portfolio Management Team to convert opportunities into roadmaps and executable initiatives.
• Lead independent strategic reviews of new project proposals and market plans.
• Assess fit, market attractiveness, economics, risk, execution readiness and portfolio impact.
• Formulate a clear recommendation and milestones for success.
• Collaborate with M&A and Deal Team on strategic fit and portfolio impact while execution remains with the Deal Team.
• Establish an after-action review process to capture lessons learned and feed findings back into strategy and evaluation.
• Prepare concise, decision-grade recommendations for Investment Committee and leadership.
• Maintain governance boundaries between analysis, recommendation and execution ownership.
• Lead, coach and develop the Strategy and Research Team and set analytical standards.
• Create methodologies, templates and standards for strategy development and portfolio review.
• Foster a high-trust culture with intellectual honesty and constructive challenge.
