Job summary

Schneider Electric in Copenhagen seeks a Chief Accountant through Mpya Finance. This role combines technical accounting expertise with impact, development and an international context.

You will lead IFRS and local GAAP closings for Nordic and Baltic entities, own balance sheets, coordinate audits, and drive process improvements, partnering with the global Shared Service Center in India and a multinational finance team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience working with Danish accounting.
• Experience working with a Shared Service Center (meritorious).
• Proven track record in process improvement.
• Strong skills in SAP, Excel and other MS tools.
• Fluency in Danish and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Lead monthly and quarterly closings in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Full responsibility for balance sheet accuracy and reviews.
• Ownership of annual reports, income tax returns and tax reporting.
• Lead Balance Sheet Review meetings and collaborate with key stakeholders.
• Coordinate and drive external audits for assigned legal entities.
• Drive simplification, standardization and continuous improvement of accounting processes.
• Participate in finance projects, system improvements and ad hoc analyses.

About the role

As Chief Accountant, you will play a central role in ensuring high-quality financial reporting and compliance across the Nordic and Baltic entities, working closely with the global Shared Service Center in India.
