Job summary

Hitachi Rail Denmark is seeking an Experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team and help drive accurate financial reporting across local and group requirements.

You will handle month-end close, postings, accruals, reconciliations, and statutory reporting while supporting project controllers and consolidation efforts in a global organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience in a large, international company
• Experience with monthly closing, accruals, and reconciliations
• Knowledge of IFRS standards
• Experience with A/P, A/R, fixed assets, payroll and expenses
• Strong analytical skills and high accuracy
• Fluency in English

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting activities and coordinate with colleagues and external service providers as needed
• Manage the monthly closing process, including accruals and reconciliations
• Prepare input for the monthly financial reporting package
• Apply group accounting policies while ensuring compliance with local requirements
• Follow internal controls relevant to accounting processes
• Perform daily accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, fixed assets, payroll and expenses
• Support on statutory reporting to the relevant authorities
• Support project controllers and contribute to assignments across the finance team
• Support in corporate consolidation, annual reporting and audits

As Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in our accounting function and work closely with the controlling team and the wider business.

You will be responsible for:

• Performing accounting activities and coordinating with colleagues and external service providers as needed.
• Managing the monthly closing process, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Preparing input for the monthly financial reporting package.
