Job summary

Qualifications

• A Medical Doctor degree and strong research experience at PhD level or equivalent are mandatory.
• A minimum of five years of clinical development experience is expected, together with the ability to critically assess preclinical and clinical evidence.
• Experience with cardiovascular disease is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical value chain and how development decisions influence portfolios.
• Experience in business development or therapy area strategy is preferred and valued in screening or due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Shape cardiovascular therapy area strategy and portfolio priorities over the next five to ten years.
• Provide medical and scientific input to screening and due diligence of potential business development opportunities.
• Identify and prioritise opportunities for additional indications based on scientific evidence and market needs.
• Integrate input across functions into recommendations reflecting clinical and regulatory pathways and timelines.
• Prepare clear assessments for senior leadership and governance discussions.
