Qualifications

• Medical Doctor degree and PhD-level research experience are mandatory.
• At least five years of clinical development experience; ability to assess preclinical and clinical evidence.
• Cardiovascular disease knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of pharma value chain and how development influences portfolio decisions.
• Experience in business development or therapy area strategy; due diligence experience valuable.
• Experience guiding cross-functional teams and influencing senior leadership.
• Excellent written and spoken English; ability to explain complex science clearly.

Responsibilities

• Shape cardiovascular strategy and portfolio priorities over 5–10 years.
• Provide medical input to screening and due diligence of BD opportunities; assess biological rationale and evidence.
• Identify additional indications considering scientific evidence and unmet need.
• Integrate input across value chain into clinically and regulatorily sound recommendations.
• Prepare assessments for senior leadership and governance discussions.
• Reassess priorities as new data emerges and turn recommendations into actions.
