Novo Nordisk in Søborg is seeking a Medical Project Director to shape our cardiovascular therapy area strategy and provide medical and scientific input to business development opportunities.

(Søborg)
Your impact begins here
As Medical Project Director, you will help shape our cardiovascular therapy area strategy and provide medical and scientific input to business development opportunities. You will combine detailed assessment of individual assets with a portfolio perspective on what we need to develop over the next five and ten years. Working with colleagues across the value chain, you will identify opportunities, assess risks and uncertainties, and turn scientific and strategic insights into clear recommendations for leadership and portfolio decisions.
You bring strong medical and scientific expertise and sound strategic judgement. You can zoom in to understand the details and uncertainties in a dataset and zoom out to assess what they mean for an opportunity and the wider portfolio. You distinguish what the evidence supports from what remains uncertain, challenge assumptions constructively and make balanced recommendations when information is incomplete.
You will join Medical & Science, Cardiovascular & Liver Disease within Medical & Translational Science and report directly to the Senior Director. This is a specialist role without line management responsibility, with leadership exercised through expertise and collaboration.
You will work closely with cardiovascular leadership, Global Project Teams and colleagues in Research, Clinical Development, Business Development, Commercial, Regulatory Affairs and CMC. You may also engage external medical experts and research partners to inform scientific assessments. Across these relationships, you will listen openly, bring different perspectives together and build the agreement needed to move strategies and plans forward.
You can expect a high degree of independence, complex scientific and strategic questions, and the opportunity to influence decisions with substantial portfolio and business impact. You will take initiative, follow through on agreed actions and contribute to a collaborative environment where colleagues share knowledge and challenge each other constructively.
We will provide relevant training, onboarding and support to help you grow into the role and further develop your skills in therapy area strategy and business development. You will build on your medical and scientific experience while learning from colleagues across the value chain. Priorities may change as new evidence emerges, and you will help the team adapt its recommendations and plans.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge and relevant experience.
