Job summary

SameSystem, based in Copenhagen, is hiring a BI Consultant to own the BI and reporting side of our platform. You will build and maintain reports in Sisense and partner with customers to translate business questions into analytics that drive decisions.

The role is in the Customer Success team, enabling commercial insights beyond back-office data work. Fluency in Danish is a requirement, with English also used for international collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience building reports and dashboards in BI tools.
• Fluency in English and Danish is preferred; strong communication with customers required.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills; build data models and reporting logic.
• Able to own reporting end-to-end and articulate business value to customers.
• Experience presenting to operations and management stakeholders.

We’re looking for a BI Consultant who is as comfortable building a clean dashboard as sitting across the table from a customer explaining what it means for their business.

This is a full-time role, and you’ll join our Customer Success team in Copenhagen. You’ll own the business intelligence and reporting side of our platform: building and maintaining reports in our BI tool, Sisense, and being the person our customers and colleagues turn to when a number needs to make sense. We’ve deliberately placed this role in Customer Success rather than in a back-office data team, because the reporting is only worth as much as the commercial insight it drives. This role suits someone who is happy behind the screen building things properly, but who does not want to only sit behind the screen.

This is a new role, so the right person will have real influence over how we build, package, and deliver the analytics side of our platform.

Key responsibilities

Building the reports

• Design, build, and maintain BI reports and dashboards in Sisense, with strong attention to data integrity, performance, and usability
• Translate customer and internal requirements into robust data models and reporting logic
• Own reporting quality across accounts, including validation, troubleshooting, and iterative improvement
• Develop new reporting capabilities and scope custom development work as our customers’ needs grow

Working with customers

• Join customer meetings and represent the BI and analytics part of the SameSystem platform
• Talk specific development and scoping with customers, and translate their business questions into what we can actually build
• Help customers see the value in their data, and support Customer Success and Sales in retention, upselling, and expansion through analytics
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Support to feed customer needs back into the platform

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience building reports and dashboards in a BI tool. Experience with Sisense is a strong plus; solid experience with a comparable tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik) is very welcome
• Enough experience under your belt to own your work end to end
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills, and the instinct to build things properly rather than just quickly
• Commercial acumen. You understand that a report exists to drive a decision, and you’re comfortable talking value and scope with customers
• Confidence in client-facing settings, presenting clearly to both operational and managerial stakeholders
• The balance we keep coming back to: someone who can do focused, hands-on build work and also step into a customer meeting and hold their own
• A self-starter who takes ownership and isn’t afraid to share ideas. Execution matters
• Nice to have: comfort scoping and pricing development work. If pricing is new to you, that’s fine, we can teach it
• Fluency in Danish and English; additional European languages are a plus
• Familiarity with retail operations or workforce management is a plus
