Job summary

NOVENCO Building & Industry is seeking a Business Controller to partner with leadership, delivering financial insights and recommendations to drive strategic and operational decisions. You will lead monthly reporting, P&L analysis and forecasting across multiple functions, including Sales, Projects and R&D.

Based at our HQ in Næstved, Denmark, you will shape budgeting, risk assessment and financial discipline, while collaborating with Group Finance to support business growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in business controlling, project controlling, financial planning, performance management or a comparable finance role.
• Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, financial variance analysis and project financial management
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear recommendations for commercial and operational stakeholders.
• Confident business partner who constructively challenges decisions and builds trusted relationships across functions.

Responsibilities

• Act as the financial business partner to leadership across Sales, Project Management and R&D, supporting strategic and operational decision-making through financial insights and recommendations.
• Prepare and consolidate monthly performance reporting, ensuring management has a reliable view of financial and operational performance.
• Perform P&L variance analysis, identify key performance drivers and translate findings into practical actions for the business.
• Lead forecasting processes covering revenue, order intake, project performance, SG&A and annual budgeting, improving transparency and financial predictability.
• Drive financial management of projects and act as a financial partner in monthly project reviews with Project Managers, strengthening cost control, accountability and financial discipline.
• Support business case development and financial evaluation of strategic initiatives, investments and R&D projects.
• Ensure timely identification and communication of financial risks and opportunities, while providing recommendations for mitigating actions.
• Contribute to the continuous development of controlling processes, reporting tools and performance management practices across the organisation.

As our Business Controller, you will partner closely with the leadership team, providing the analysis, challenge and financial structure needed to support informed decisions and improve results across the organisation.

Your Impact
