At TILSTROM Engineering & Consulting, we are looking for a BMS Programmer to join our growing team of consultants. In this permanent full‑time position, you will develop and configure Building Management Systems for our clients, creating intelligent and energy‑efficient building solutions. As part of our continued growth, you'll work on a variety of projects where you'll program advanced BMS software to optimize environments ranging from commercial offices to industrial facilities.

You will be employed by TILSTROM and work as a consultant on assignments for our clients (primarily in the Copenhagen or Aarhus region). This means collaborating with facility managers, project engineers, and other stakeholders to implement effective building automation systems that meet each client's needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and configure BMS software for building automation projects using platforms such as Schneider EcoStruxure Building Operation, Siemens Desigo (Xworks/ABT), or similar systems.
• Create and implement control logic for HVAC, lighting, and other building systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
• Commission and test BMS installations, troubleshoot issues, and fine‑tune system parameters for reliable operation.
• Work closely with project managers and HVAC engineers to gather requirements and translate functional specifications into effective BMS configurations and user interfaces.
• Provide documentation and training to clients' facilities teams to ensure they can effectively use and maintain the BMS.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in programming and configuring Building Management Systems or similar automation systems.
• Hands‑on proficiency with one or more BMS platforms (e.g. Schneider EcoStruxure, Siemens Desigo/ABT, Johnson Controls Metasys, etc.).
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems and control principles, and how they integrate with BMS.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and sequence‑of‑operations documents; strong troubleshooting skills in both software and control hardware.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on delivering robust, reliable solutions.
• Good communication skills to work effectively with clients and team members; fluency in English is required (Danish language skills are a plus).

Location

We have locations in Greater Copenhagen and Aarhus, and this role can be based in either (with some travel to client sites in Denmark, so you should be comfortable commuting).
