Application Design Engineer – Building Management Systems

Design robust and innovative solutions across a diverse portfolio of high‑profile projects, including data centers, healthcare and pharmaceutical facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support conceptual and detailed application designs, establish technical strategies and select appropriate equipment.
• Provide technical designs and expertise that deliver innovative solutions that directly impact digital system performance and reliability.
• Create test plans, PI diagrams, wiring diagrams and functional descriptions – implement standards and follow best practices in digital systems engineering.
• Communicate results, address issues and present solutions to internal teams and customers.
• Execute on‑site technical activities, gathering necessary technical information to support the Engineering teams under the guidance of the technical lead.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and team members to ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards and customer specifications.
• Act as a specialized technical expert in digital systems design (BMS), applying knowledge to identify challenges, conducting research and developing new technologies.
• Participate in technical discussions and clarification with customers, serving as a technical contact for technical‑related matters.
• Coach and review the work of junior professionals and provide guidance on non‑routine or escalated issues.

Skills and Attributes

• Strong technical background with experience in BMS.
• Proven experience in large‑scale B2B projects and platforms.
• Solid understanding of local codes, regulations, construction practices and the latest equipment functional concepts.
• Knowledge of engineering deliverables such as system architecture, hardware/software submissions, interface points, schedules, control panel drawings, operations descriptions and test scripts.
• Good knowledge of HVAC systems and coordination with other contractors.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong communication skills, a flexible and customer‑focused mindset, and fluency in Danish and English.
