Job summary

Bavarian Nordic in Denmark is seeking a QC Manager for the Biochemistry team to lead a group of scientists and technicians ensuring high-quality analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates and products. The role emphasizes coaching, strategy alignment, and strong process governance within a GMP framework.

You will collaborate with QC and manufacturing to optimize workflows, support method development and validation, and drive continuous improvement across the analytical lifecycle.

Qualifications

• A relevant scientific degree and experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical/biotech environment.
• Experience with analytical testing, method development, validation or comparability testing is preferred.
• Leadership experience in QC, a laboratory or similar area is advantageous; strong coaching skills.
• Solid understanding of cGMP, data integrity and Quality Management Systems; comfortable with digital lab tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Biochemistry scientist team, providing clear direction and development plans.
• Balance scientific work with operational priorities and manage workloads and risks.
• Ensure quality and robust processes compliant with cGMP and the Bavarian Nordic QMS; maintain inspection readiness.
• Strengthen collaboration with QC and manufacturing, using data and digital tools to improve efficiency and reduce lead times.
