BI Engineer: Build Unified Data Platform

Job summary

Ellab is building a unified, company-wide Business Intelligence platform to enable better decision-making across 15 countries and 800 employees. As a BI Engineer you will turn raw data into reliable solutions, owning the data value chain from source systems to semantic models and reporting.

You’ll collaborate with Data Engineers and BI Engineers to move from fragmented reports toward a centralized, scalable BI platform, ensuring day-to-day reliability and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Power BI, DAX, and SQL experience.
• Experience with semantic layers and consistent metric definitions.
• Experience with ERP/CRM data sources.
• Proven BI or data solution delivery, not just project coordination.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to translate business problems into practical BI solutions.
• Independent, ownership mindset and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and optimize semantic models in Power BI for reliable reporting.
• Develop and improve data solutions using SQL, Microsoft Fabric and ADF.
• Work with data from Business Central and Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (Field Service, Project Operations).
• Troubleshoot issues end-to-end from idea to implementation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into BI solutions.
• Improve existing data models, reports, and team processes.
• Establish BI standards and best practices for quality and documentation.
