Job summary

Taffelbay Management ApS, a Copenhagen-area bakery, seeks a Head of Procurement and Stock Control to ensure the bakery has the right ingredients in the right quantities, at the right price and quality. You will lead procurement, manage suppliers, and maintain strict stock control to minimize waste and support continuous production.

Responsibilities include ordering raw materials, coordinating with the Head Baker and production teams, and planning for peak periods to meet demand.

Qualifications

• Accurate with numbers and strong planning abilities.
• Clear communicator with suppliers and colleagues.
• Good understanding of bakery ingredients and production.
• Structured and detail-oriented in stock control and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Own the ordering of raw materials, packaging and consumables, and place orders on time based on production plans and busy periods.
• Manage supplier relationships: compare prices and quality, negotiate terms, agree delivery times and handle complaints.
• Receive and check deliveries against orders for quantity, quality, temperature and best-before dates, and record deviations.
• Run stock control: keep storerooms organised, apply FIFO, carry out stock counts and keep inventory records accurate.
• Reduce waste and write-offs by monitoring expiry dates, adjusting order quantities and flagging slow-moving items.
• Monitor the raw material percentage by product group and report deviations to management.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure advance knowledge of needs; prepare a stock plan for peak periods.
