Job summary

Festina Life is expanding its development organization and seeks an experienced Team Lead to steer our core backend systems. You will guide teams through complex business logic, asynchronous flows, and long-term maintainability while aligning with the product roadmap.

You will collaborate with business specialists to translate needs into robust designs, mentor engineers, and contribute to code reviews and architecture decisions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software development, preferably backend systems.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, asynchronous flows, domain modelling, and message-driven design.
• Proven ability to mentor and guide developers, technically and professionally.
• Experience as Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, Team Lead, Senior Developer, or similar.
• Strong collaboration with business stakeholders to shape technical direction.
• Clear communicator with structured, pragmatic problem solving.
• Relevant technical education (CS/SE or similar).
• Advantageous: experience in financial services, insurance, or regulated domains.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous improvement of Festina Life product, aligned with the roadmap for new functionality and defect resolution.
• Provide technical sparring on architecture, asynchronous flows, domain modelling, and backend engineering practices.
• Work with business specialists to understand domain requirements and guide technical solution design.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing, constructive technical discussions, and a strong engineering culture.
• Contribute hands-on to solution design, code reviews, and architectural decisions when relevant.
