Festina Finance is looking for a Senior Actuarial Developer to join our Life Product team in either Copenhagen or Amsterdam. This role is ideal for someone with several years of experience who enjoys working where financial logic, and modern software development meet.

As a Senior Actuarial Developer, you will contribute to the actuarial and technical foundation of the Festina Life platform. Your work will help shape how pension products are calculated, modelled, and maintained in our system and you will be part of a highly skilled team where collaboration, craftsmanship, and continuous learning are part of everyday life.

In this role, you will play a vital part in developing the core logic behind the Festina Life platform a modern, high-performance system used by leading pension providers across Europe.

Your tasks will include:

• Implementing business rules and modelling Life event transformations
• Working on the calculation engines that power our life and pension products
• Designing and validating financial and insurance-related calculation logic
• Contributing to development tasks and internal tooling
• Supporting ongoing improvements to our product and calculation framework
• Integrating with other Festina components such as MoneyIn/Out and UnitLink
• Participating in design and requirement discussions with colleagues and clients

This role gives you the opportunity to deepen both your technical skillset while working closely with highly experienced colleagues across actuarial modelling, product development, and software engineering.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with a few years of experience whether as a developer, actuary, or pension domain expert. What matters most is your ability to understand and model complex financial logic and your motivation to work hands-on with software development.

You bring:

• Experience within software development, actuarial modelling, or pension product logic
• A strong mathematical mindset and the ability to work with complex calculation frameworks
• Coding experience you don’t need to be a full-time developer, but you should be comfortable writing code and eager to grow your technical skills
• Curiosity, analytical thinking, and a willingness to learn new concepts and technologies
• The ability to take ownership, collaborate naturally, and contribute to a high-skill team

Prior knowledge of the pension domain or an actuarial background is a plus but not required. What matters most is your ability to thinkmathematically, solve problems, and work effectively with complex systems.
